Building the grid of the future.
We manufacture innovative power electronics to advance a more efficient, reliable, and affordable electric grid.
Why We're Here

After several decades of flat demand, electricity demand is climbing again as electrification, manufacturing, and AI scale. While the cost to generate power has fallen, the cost to move power has risen.
The hardware critical to moving power across the electric grid has barely changed in decades, and supply shortages mean orders take years to fill.
Power semiconductors have transformed how we convert and control electricity at low voltages in computing, telecommunications, consumer electronics, renewable energy, and electric vehicles. They’re now made at massive scale.
Heron incorporates the latest power semiconductors and materials into power solutions that advance a more efficient, reliable, and affordable electric grid.
Who we are

Drew Baglino is founder and CEO of Heron. He spent 18 years at Tesla, joining as an electrical engineer in 2006 and becoming Powertrain Architect for the Model S. In 2016 he formed Tesla's energy engineering organization and launched and ramped multiple generations of Powerwall, Powerpack, and Megapack.
As SVP of Powertrain and Energy from 2019 to 2024, Drew led development of Tesla's 4680 cell, the dry electrode process, and the buildout of a clean-sheet battery factory and materials refineries in Texas. He also ran Tesla's global charging and energy businesses, including opening the Supercharger network to all electric vehicles.
